Unit 1: Up and About

1-1: Johnny is an apprentice in the Lapham household.

1-2: Dove does not like Johnny because he does a lot of things better than him.

3-1:Johnny is very serious about his work. He plans to be a silversmith when he grows up, and to marry one of the Lapham girls.

4-1:He is dedicated to his orders and jobs

6-1:It is a cup.

Unit 2: The Pride of Your Power

3-1:He worked on sunday. Dove gave johnny a bad pot with a crack in it.

5-1: Johnny's life changed dramatically. He cant do the stuff he used to be able to do so he is worth less.

Unit 3: An Earth of Brass

1-1: Rab doesn't stare at his hand or question him about it. Johnny respected Rab for his acts.

3-1:Brass is worth less than silver. Now Johnny is worth less than he used to be, like brass to silver.

Unit 4: The Rising Eye

1-1:He is mean and powerful with lots of money.

5-2:The judge believes that Johnny's story could be real. And Mr. Lyte has no proof.

Unit 5: The Boston Observer

2-1:He delivers messages for the Whigs. now they can communicate faster with each other.

3/4-1: Johnny likes where he is now, but he does miss the Laphams.

3/4-2:People might not want to look bad in front of others so they will do things they wouldn't normally do.

3/4-3:Rab told Johnny that if he wasn't so rude he could improve his relationships with other people.

3/4-4:It was treasonous because it went against the British Government.

Unit 6: Salt Water Tea

5-1:Johnny needs to be able to use an axe with his left hand.

Unit 7: The Fiddler's Bill

1-1:Only English ships may now enter the Boston Harber.

1-2:The punishment that Britain made on Boston Harber made all the colonies angry uniting them against Britain.
3-2:Johnny has changed because he has taught himself how to control his temper.

4-1:Mr. Lapham died making life harder for Mrs. Lapham and he feels sorry for her.

5-1:Sam Adams' spy is Mrs. Bessie.

Unit 8: A World to Come

1-1:Sons of Liberty were going after Tories and Mr. Lyte was one.

2-1:It reveals that johnny is apart of the Lyte family.

2-2:He thinks there will be a war soon.

5-1:He wants freedom from tyrants for people all over the world.

Unit 9: The Scarlet Deluge

3-1:He isn't as mean as he was in the beginning and he can control his rudeness.

3-2:The minute men made their own materials to be prepared when the British came.
5-1:Confused on how anyone could look down the barrel and kill someone.

Unit 10: "Disperse, Ye Rebels"

1-1:They found out the British were preparing landing boats to attack.

1-2:The signal are the lanterns in the bell tower telling how they will attack. It will help because they are all in one area for a meeting.

2-1:Rab knows there will be fighting and he wants to help the Patriots, Johnny is disappointed in Rab for abandoning him.

Unit 11: Yankee Doodle

1-1:The battle is in Lexington. The Minute Men lost because there were too many redcoats.

3-1:None of the leaders were where the British were.

4-1:The widows mark on his head.

5-1:He thinks he is a man when it comes to things like war.

Unit 12: A Man Can Stand Up

1-1:Johnny made himself look like a wounded soldier.

2-1:The rebels were some farmers fighting against the British Army.

3-1:He is reflecting on how the rebels fought against Britain. He was almost crying.

5-1:He was shot. Johnny was sad.

5-2:He knows that his hand isn't the worst thing to ever happen to some people.
